Personanteckningar

The family of Mr. Herman Soat were called upon to mourn the loss of a loving wife and mother on Tuesday, June 29th, at 3:15 p.m. of hemorrhage of the brain, at the age of 68 years, eight months and29 days. Mrs. Soat was taken sick Monday evening but on Tuesday morning, while Mr. Soat was doing chores at the barn she got up and started getting breakfast, but when Mr. Soat returned to the house he found her lying on the bed and when he returned from another trip to his work at the barn he found her lying on the floor and unconscious. The neighbors were notified and the doctor was at once summoned but the best of care and nursing could not bring her back to consciousness and in only a few hours she passed on to her heavenly rewards leaving the family stricken with grief. Kathryn Shutler was born in Wisconsin, October 4, 1846 and was united in marriage to Herman Soat 49 years ago last February. To this union 12 children were born, five of whom have gone before. Four sons, Fred, Frank, Ben and Henry and one daughter, Mrs. A Benzhofer all of Milford, and two daughters, Mrs. Louise Cudmund and Mrs. Lizzie Graf, of Ionia, Minn., together with her husband, Nr. Herman Soat, are left to mourn her death. The deceased has lived the life of a good Catholic wife and mother. The funeral was held at the Catholic church last Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock and the body was laid at rest in theCatholi cemetery west of town. All of the children were present at the funeral. *The Spirit Lake Beacon, July 8, 1915
